1. How much does the course cost?

The UEFGM Knowledge Platform is completely free of charge, co-funded by the European Union Justice Programme.

2. How do I log in?

To register for the UEFGM e-learning course, please click here. Once you have registered you will be provided with your personal account details, which you can edit as you wish. You are free to complete the course in your own time and may log on and off any time you like.

3. How do I get my course certificate?

You will be eligible for a course certificate upon successful completion of:

  • at least four modules, including Foundation Modules 1 and 2;
  • the self-assessment quizzes at the end of each module, attaining a minimum of eight correct answers in each;
  • a course evaluation form.

You can then access and print your course certificate online.

4. Can I undertake more than one stream?

You are free to undertake as many streams as you want. Your course certificate will list all successfully completed streams and modules.

5. Can I undertake modules in streams of study outside my field of expertise?

There are no prerequisites for undertaking a module or stream of study. For example, a health professional may want to learn more about the media’s role in communicating FGM related issues. After completing Foundation Modules 1 and 2, you are free to choose any stream of study that is interest to you.

6.What happens if I don’t pass a self-assessment quiz?

Don’t worry! You can test your knowledge by re-taking any quiz up to three times.

7. Can I learn more about FGM in a specific country?
The UEFGM Knowledge Platform includes country information for 11 EU member states: Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK. Country information is available in the country’s official language(s) as well as in English, please click here

8. How I can participate in webinars and online discussions?

Active online discussions and webinars will be announced in the Home page and are open to   anyone interested in the thematic areas covered by the UEFGM Knowledge Platform. The aim of the online discussions and webinars hosted by UEFGM is to encourage the exchange of knowledge, sharing of experiences, good practices and lessons learned among professionals active in the field of FGM.
